Which towns can get a dumpster delivered?
Yuma, Fortuna Foothills, Somerton, San Luis, Wellton, Gadsden and Winterhaven, CA. Nearby parts of Yuma County are covered too, so give your address when you call.
Each town below gets its own short section. The rules really do change from place to place. Yuma, Somerton and San Luis are incorporated cities, and Wellton is an incorporated town. Fortuna Foothills and Gadsden are unincorporated, so Yuma County handles them. Winterhaven is in Imperial County, California.
Yuma

Central and west Yuma have many older homes, which often means remodels and tear-outs. In ZIP 85364, the median home was built in 1983. About 45% of homes there were built before 1980 (U.S. Census, ACS 2020–2024).
City of Yuma rules apply inside city limits. Roll-off loads from town usually go to a landfill or to the Allied Waste transfer station (Republic Services) on Avenue 3½ E. That station takes commercial loads, and trash is charged. Sizes, prices and delivery times for the city are on the main Yuma dumpster page.
Fortuna Foothills
About 1 in 4 Foothills homes is a seasonal home (24.0%, ACS 2020–2024). Nearly half of all homes here are mobile homes. That points to snowbird close-ups and mobile-home cleanouts.
The Foothills is unincorporated, so it follows Yuma County rules, not city rules. Read more on dumpster rental in Fortuna Foothills.
Somerton

Somerton has newer homes and the highest median household income in the area, about $74,000. Half its homes were built in 2002 or later (ACS 2020–2024). That points more to garage cleanouts, yard work and new-home debris than to old-house tear-outs.
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office names County 19th Street near Somerton as an illegal dumping hotspot. A dumpster keeps your debris out of the desert. See renting a dumpster in Somerton.
San Luis
San Luis is the fastest-growing city in the county. Its population grew about 19% from 2020 to 2025, by Census estimates. Only 2.7% of homes sit vacant. That tight market points to build-out debris and household cleanouts.
On August 5, 2026, the City of San Luis announced a new free county transfer station for residents. See dumpster rental in San Luis.
Wellton
Nearly half of Wellton’s homes are mobile homes, and about 3 in 10 units are seasonal (ACS 2020–2024). That points to winter-home and manufactured-home cleanouts. See dumpster rental in Wellton, ZIP 85356.
Gadsden
Gadsden is an unincorporated community in south Yuma County, so county rules apply, not San Luis or Somerton rules. Read about getting a dumpster in Gadsden.
Winterhaven, CA
Winterhaven sits in Imperial County, California, so California and Imperial County rules apply, not Arizona’s. Check the Winterhaven roll-off guide for the road permit office and disposal questions.
Not sure if your street is covered? Call (928) 296-5462 and give the address. Calls are answered 24/7.
Do you deliver to the bases or east Yuma?
East Yuma is a nearby Yuma County area, so give your address on the call. Base deliveries also depend on gate access.
- East Yuma, ZIP 85365. This ZIP mixes city and county land. Some lots follow City of Yuma rules and some follow Yuma County rules, so check your parcel. About 37% of homes here are mobile homes (ACS 2020–2024).
- MCAS Yuma. Drivers need base access first. MCAS Yuma visitor passes require a driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance. Ask the hauler before you book an on-base drop.
- Yuma Proving Ground. YPG asks for a REAL ID license, or extra documents with a non-REAL ID license. Its Visitor Control Center is open Monday to Thursday. Ask the hauler about base access first.
- Tacna and Dateland. These towns are farther east. Each has a county transfer site. Call to ask whether delivery reaches that far.
What if my town isn’t on this page?
Call and give your address. The hauler will tell you on the call whether your address is in range.
That goes for any area not named here.
Is there a distance fee?
Ask when you call. We don’t have a published distance fee for any town, so your exact price for your address is confirmed on the call.
For context, typical Yuma market prices for a 10-yard run about $260–$815 (October 2026). Ask whether the quote includes delivery and pickup at your address. See what’s included in a Yuma dumpster price.
Who handles dumpster permits in each town?
The city or town handles it inside Yuma, Somerton, San Luis and Wellton. Yuma County handles the Foothills, Gadsden and other unincorporated areas. Imperial County handles Winterhaven.
Whether a roll-off on the street needs a permit isn’t confirmed for any of these towns. Putting it on your driveway avoids the question. If it must go on the street, call the office below first.

Who handles what comes from U.S. Census place types and the Yuma County Public Works Standards (2023), checked October 15, 2026. Read the guide to placing a dumpster in Yuma for driveway, HOA and RV park tips.
Where is the nearest dump to each town?

It depends on the town. Free county sites take household loads only, not commercial loads.
If you only have a pickup load, a free county site may save you money. For a full remodel or a big cleanout, a dumpster usually makes more sense. The hauler takes the full dumpster to a site that accepts it.
| Town | Nearest free county site | Days and hours | More detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fortuna Foothills | North Gila Valley Transfer Site, 7870 E. County 5th St | Every day, 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. | North Gila Valley site |
| Somerton, San Luis and Gadsden | South County Transfer Station, 5563 W. County 19th St | Thursday to Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. | South County station rules |
| Wellton | Wellton Transfer Site, 12850 S. Avenue 29E | Sunday and Monday, 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (the Town says there may be a charge) | Wellton Transfer Site |
| Tacna | Tacna Transfer Site, 39745 E. County 8th St | Friday and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. | Tacna site hours |
| Dateland | Dateland Transfer Site, 61818 N. County 2nd St | Sunday, 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. | All county transfer sites |
These hours come from the Yuma County transfer station guide (July 2026). The Sheriff’s Office (July 10, 2025) and the City of San Luis (August 5, 2026) list them too. Hours can change, so call Yuma County Public Works at (928) 341-2500 to confirm before you go.
Winterhaven is not in Yuma County, and Imperial County lists no transfer station in Winterhaven.
The South County station is free for county residents. The county’s guide says no transfer station takes commercial, industrial or oversize loads. Inside Yuma, roll-off loads go to a landfill or the Republic transfer station, which charges for trash. The Yuma County dump guide lists every site.
